I’ve heard custom local cabinetry is pricey, how do your costs compare?
Getting custom cabinetry is of course an investment, but it does not have to mean breaking the budget. Because we design and manufacture everything in-house, we have control over the entire process and avoid the typical markups that come with outsourcing. That means you’re working with the same local team from start to finish, getting a higher level of craftsmanship and service, without stepping into a new price bracket.
Do you handle full renovations or just cabinetry?
Our business focuses on cabinetry, but our designers also assist with full renovations as well. From opening up spaces by removing walls to sourcing flooring, tile, and managing the finishing touches like electrical and plumbing, we have you covered throughout the entire renovation process.
Why does it matter that your cabinetry is made in-house?
There are a lot of advantages to making what we design. Because we manufacture in-house, we know our product inside and out, and we design with full confidence that it can be built, and built well. This creates a seamless experience from design to installation, eliminating delays, miscommunications, and allows for complete quality control.
If something needs adjusting or replacing, we can handle it quickly – no waiting on third-party manufacturers. We also choose the materials ourselves and oversee the entire build process, so every detail meets our standards. In-house manufacturing means better control, better quality, reduced prices, and a smoother project from start to finish.
What’s your average project timeline? How far out are you booking, and how long does installation take?
We’re typically booked 8 weeks out, but you’re welcome to reach out anytime to begin the design process. We can tentatively schedule your project based on when your renovation will be ready for cabinetry.
Installation timelines depend on the scope of the job. We generally allot 1–5 business days for installation. That said, every home is unique, and things like site conditions, scheduling, or working around other trades often requires an additional visit or two to get everything to 100% completion. We work closely with you to keep the process as smooth and timely as possible, and pride ourselves on an impressive turn-around time!

What does “custom cabinetry” actually mean?
We get it. Custom gets thrown around a lot. In big-box stores, cabinetry is typically manufactured in set 2-inch increments, which can lead to awkward gaps or large filler pieces that waste space.
At Bouwmans Cabinetry, custom really means custom. We use precision CNC (computer numerical control) technology to cut each cabinet, door, and drawer to the exact millimetre – depth, width, and height. That means we can design to fit your space perfectly, with no gaps, no wasted storage, and endless layout possibilities. Every detail is made to suit your home, not the other way around.
Do you offer financing options?
Yes! We’ve partnered with Lacee Heenan, Mortgage Agent at North Power Mortgages to offer financing solutions tailored to you.
What are the details of your warranty?
We offer a 1-year warranty on all cabinetry we design, manufacture, and install. It covers defects in materials and workmanship under normal use.
Please note, the warranty does not cover misuse, water damage, normal wear and tear, or any post-installation modifications.
